Well, phooey guys! I love fooling with these transitional guns too. I owned a Maynard .50 and a .54 Merrill for a while and they were a lot of fun to shoot. The Merrill with its deep rifling was particularly accurate. I miss them both.

I purchased one of these moulds http://stifters-gunflints.de/shop/detail.php?item=2771&d=d_H_M54G_Hensel_Kokille_fur__54_Gallagher.php direct from Hensel and it works really well in my Gallager.Regards, Peter B.
